                                                                                                                                      NOTE In this video, Ms. Viki Shi, E2EChina technical support engineer, elaborated the new features of Bluetooth 5(BT5.0) and examples of application.Three features including high speed mode, long range mode and adverting extension were detailed explained. New LE 2M PHY of BT5.0 brings great benefits, comprising 2X throughput compared to BLE 4.X and 2M symbol/s rate un-coded. It is backward compatible with 1M symbol/s rate device. New LE coded PHY can guarantee 500kbps (s=2) on condition of two symbols a bit, with forward error correction and 125kbps (s=8) on condition of eight symbols a bit, repeating the s=2 symbols. Four PDUs are added in BT5.0 to reinforce the advertising extension function. Therefore, data packages can be transferred on both the primary channels and the secondary channels. Due to many advantages of BT5.0, it can be applied to a lot of cases such as audio, long range door locker, appliance/home automatic and tracking/door navigation. Also four kinds of BT5.0 chips were introduced including datasheet, use guide, SDK and SimpleLinkTM lessons.
